Uniplaces Ambassadors
Gamification platform

Uniplaces Ambassadors is a programme recruiting students as brand representatives across university campuses, to attract students and landlords to Uniplaces — the core platform where students find housing while studying abroad. I led the UI team responsible for designing the gamified ambassador experience — onboarding, tracks, levels, and rewards — built to drive sustained engagement across a global network of student ambassadors.

Recruiting ambassadors, one campus at a time
The programme starts with a recruitment landing page, introducing prospective ambassadors to the opportunity and driving sign-ups across university campuses worldwide

Choosing a track, progressing through levels
After registering, ambassadors choose from three tracks — Operations, Creative & Social, and Community Development — each shaped around a different personality profile, from the more analytical to the more outgoing. Ambassadors can enrol in multiple tracks at once, tailoring the programme to how they naturally engage. Within each track, progress is structured into levels, unlocked step by step — turning what could be a flat list of training content into a visible sense of advancement.

Learning inside a level
Inside each level, ambassadors work through structured lessons and challenges — building real skills (like the 'Skills and Knowledge' module in the Operations track) while advancing their progress.

Badges: small wins, kept visible
Completing lessons and challenges earns points that accumulate toward real prizes — and badges along the way, giving ambassadors frequent, visible markers of progress and keeping motivation high between bigger rewards.
